Fact: The recent attack (October 2024) on RSS workers in Jaipur has been confirmed to have no communal angle. The accused, Naseeb, belongs to the Hindu community. During a temple event in Karni Vihar, he and his son attacked six people with knives and sticks, injuring them. The victims were promptly taken to SMS Hospital for treatment. Both attackers were quickly arrested, and further investigation revealed they had summoned additional individuals to the scene. A Google keyword search led us to a News report video published by Rajasthan DD News on 18 October 2024 on YouTube. The caption reads, “RSS कार्यकर्ताओं पर हमले के मामले में #DDNewsRajasthan ने पुलिस कमिश्नर से की बातचीत” (DD News Rajasthan spoke to the Police Commissioner regarding the attack on RSS workers). The report featuring ACP Kuwar Rastradeep clarifies that the accused, Naseeb Chaudary, is from the Hindu community.
Further investigation led to the news report on the NDTV Rajasthan website. According to the report, the accused, Naseeb, caused confusion about his religion, leading to rumours of a communal angle. However, ACP Kuwar Rastradeep clarified that Naseeb belongs to the Hindu community. During a temple event in Karni Vihar, Naseeb and his son attacked six people with knives and sticks, who were later treated at SMS Hospital. The police quickly arrested both attackers, and further investigation revealed they had called others to the scene. CCTV footage is being reviewed, and action will be taken against anyone involved in the attack.
Additionally, we found a tweet by ANI on the X platform featuring an interview with ACP Jaipur, Rajasthan, in which he clarified that there is no communal angle to the incident.
