Fact: When FACTLY contacted Gaurav Yadav (Superintendent of Police, Kota City), he clarified that the women in the video are not Muslims. He said that they belong to Hindu Bawari caste. Hence the claim made in the post is FALSE.
When searched about the incident in the video, an ANI tweet regarding the video was found in the search results. From the tweet, it is learnt that the incident happened in the Vallabhvadi area of Kota. From another tweet, it can read that the women in the video are detained and ‘it was found that this incident isn’t connected with the aim of spreading #COVID19. The women had gone to the area to beg for money, but when they didn’t get any money they spit to show their anger’.
