Fact: Government of India is not running any scheme with the name Pradhan Mantri Berojgari Bhatta Yojana, providing unemployment allowance to the youth. PIB & Indian Cybercrime Coordination Center has declared the news circulating on social media about the unemployment allowance scheme as false and warned the public about deceptive websites operating under this scheme’s name. Hence, the claim made in the post is FALSE.

The Indian government is not running any scheme with the name Pradhan Mantri Berojgari Bhatta Yojana, providing unemployment allowance to the youth. Additionally, websites operating under this name are fraudulent and aim to deceive users into sharing their sensitive information.

On multiple occasions when similar messages gained popularity, the Press Information Bureau (PIB) has refuted the claim, stating that the government does not offer any unemployment allowance under the name Pradhan Mantri Berojgari Bhatta Yojana (here, here, here & here).

The Ministry of Home Affairs ‘Indian Cybercrime Coordination Center’ has declared the news circulating on social media about the unemployment allowance scheme as false (here, here & here). They have also cautioned the public regarding the existence of deceptive websites operating under this scheme’s name. Furthermore, they have advised that URLs starting with http:// are insecure and recommended accessing only websites that begin with https://.

Chhattisgarh government is implementing the Berojgari Bhatta Yojana:

Although the Union Government does not have a specific unemployment scheme called Berojgari Bhatta Yojana, certain state governments, such as Chhattisgarh, have implemented a scheme under the same name.

Eligible educated youth will receive an unemployment allowance under this scheme for an initial period of one year. If the individual is unable to secure suitable employment during this one-year period, the duration of the unemployment allowance can be extended for an additional year. However, in any case, the total period of receiving the unemployment allowance shall not exceed two years.

To sum it up, the union government is not offering any unemployment allowance under the scheme Pradhan Mantri Berojgari Bhatta Yojana.
