Claim: Budweiser employee acknowledged to have been pissing into beer tanks for 12 years.
Fact: A satirical website ‘Foolish Humor’ first posted such information. The content of the articles on that website is solely for ‘Entertainment’ and is based on ‘Fiction’. Hence the claim made in the post is FALSE.
When we searched on Google with the keywords seen in the screenshot, many websites were found to have carried the story that a Budweiser employee Walter Powell (mentioned in the article that the name was changed maintain anonymity) acknowledged to have been pissing into beer tanks at a Budweiser brewery for 12 years. But the story was first found to be published by a website ‘Foolish Humor’ on 08 May 2020.
In one looks at the article, at the bottom of the page, it is mentioned that the website is a ‘Humorous’ page and its sole purpose is ‘Entertainment’. Also, the content on the website is based on ‘Fiction’ and it doesn’t correspond to reality.
When the photo in the article was subjected to reverse image search, an article of ‘Times Union’ published in 2013 was found in the results. The photo had credits to ‘Associated Press’ and had the description that the person in the photo is Nick Mills, General Manager of a Budweiser Brewery in Lysander, New York.
To sum it up, an article published by a satirical website ‘Foolish Humor’ is shared as Budweiser employee acknowledged to have been pissing into beer tanks for 12 years.
