Claim: Sonia Gandhi disrespected former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and other congress leaders by forcing them to stand.

Fact: This image was taken during a meeting when the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) stamped their support for the creation of a separate Telangana state. Other visuals from the meeting confirm that Manmohan Singh and other leaders were also given chairs to sit in the meeting held in 2013. Hence, the claim made in the post is False.

On reverse image search of the image, we found that various news reports published this image in 2013 (here, here, and here). This image was taken during a meeting when the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) stamped their support for the creation of a separate Telangana state.

From the careful observation of the picture, it is evident that more than one chair was available in the room.

On further keyword search, we found that One India and Aaj Tak published the proceedings of the meeting in a sequence of a few pictures. From the pictures, it is clear that the other leaders were also seated in chairs.

To sum up, all the leaders in this meeting were provided chairs to sit, not just Sonia Gandhi.
