Fact: The video shared in the post shows a recent explosion that took place at a petrol pump in North Nazimabad, Pakistan. This video has nothing to do with the recent communal violence in Tripura. Hence, the claim made in the post is FALSE.
On reverse image search of the screenshots in the video, similar videos were found tweeted recently by a few users. They can be seen here and here. These users mentioned it as visuals of a recent fire explosion inside a petrol pump in the North Nazimabad area in Karachi, Pakistan. When we searched for other sources using these keywords, we found similar visuals in a video published by the ‘GTV Network’ YouTube channel on 29 October 2021. ‘GTV Network’ is a Pakistan-based news channel. This news channel published this video with the title, “Blast In North Nazimabad Petrol Pump | Karachi”.
On 29 October 2021, a massive explosion occurred inside a petrol pump located near Abdullah college in North Nazimabad, Pakistan. A short-circuit inside the electric room had reportedly resulted in this massive explosion in the petrol bunk. Four people were killed, and several others were injured during this accident. Reporting the details of this petrol bunk explosion, several Pakistan news websites have published articles and videos. They can be seen here, here and here. From all these pieces of evidence, it can be concluded that the video shared in the post shows a recent explosion in Pakistan, and is not related to Tripura.
