A video (here, here & here) of a woman singing Raghuveera Gadyam is circulating widely on social media, with the claim that her name is Ameya and that she is the daughter of Indian singer Vijay Yesudas, the son of the renowned singer K. J. Yesudas. Let’s verify the claim made in the post.

Fact: Viral video features singer Srilalitha Gudipati from Andhra Pradesh. She is not Vijay Yesudas’s daughter Ameya. Hence the claim made in the post is FALSE.
A reverse image search of the viral video led us to the original video (here & here) uploaded on the Instagram and YouTube channels of ‘Srilalitha Singer’ in May 2024. The description identifies the singer as ‘Srilalitha Gudipati’. According to media reports (here, here & here), Srilalitha is a Carnatic singer from Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, and her parents are Rajasekhar Bhamidipati and Satyavani.
While Vijay Yesudas does have a daughter named Ameya, a comparison between the viral video and known visuals of Ameya reveals that the individual in the viral video is not Ameya but Srilalitha Gudipati.
Furthermore, in 2021, when another video of Srilalitha singing Harivarasanam went viral falsely claiming her to be the granddaughter of K. J. Yesudas, Srilalitha clarified to India Today that she is not related to K. J. Yesudas. Moreover, in October 2024, Vijay Yesudas clarified that the singer in the viral video was not his daughter Ameya but Srilalitha from Andhra Pradesh.
To sum up, the viral video features singer Srilalitha Gudipati from Andhra Pradesh, not Vijay Yesudas’s daughter Ameya.
