Fact: The woman slamming BJP party leaders and PM Narendra Modi in the video is Congress leader Dolly Sharma, not Maneka Gandhi. During a Facebook live session on 20 April 2021, Ghaziabad Congress leader Dolly Sharma criticised BJP leaders and PM Narendra Modi for mishandling the COVID-19 crisis in the country. This video has nothing to do with BJP leader Maneka Gandhi. Hence the claim made in the post is FALSE.
On reverse image search, we found that several Facebook users had shared the same video by mentioning her as the Ghaziabad Congress leader, Dolly Sharma. They can be seen here, here, and here. Also, several comments under the post have mentioned the woman as Congress leader Dolly Sharma.
When we searched for this video using these keywords, the extended version of the video was found on the official Facebook handle of Congress leader Dolly Sharma. During a Facebook live session on 20 April 2021, Dolly Sharma lashed out at BJP leaders and PM Narendra Modi for mishandling the COVID-19 crisis in the country.
At 22:54 minute duration of the live session video, Dolly Sharma spoke about different challenges people are facing during the ongoing COVID-19 crisis in the country. Dolly Sharma lashed out at BJP Government’s incompetency in handling the COVID-19 crisis. We could observe the same visuals in the post from 14:15 minutes of this video. Dolly Sharma slammed BJP Ministers and PM Narendra Modi for mishandling the COVID-19 crisis and for giving importance to the West Bengal elections during the pandemic. On comparing the photos of Congress leader Dolly Sharma and Maneka Gandhi, we can confirm that the woman criticising Modi Government in the video is Ghaziabad Congress leader Dolly Sharma.
