Claim: A video of a man throwing goats from a speeding truck on Karachi Highway, Pakistan.

Fact: This incident occurred on the Igatpur Ghoti road in Maharashtra. Hence, the claim made in the post is False

To learn the truth behind the claim, we searched the internet for any relevant details about the incident. The search led us to a few reports (here, here and here ) on this incident which were published recently.

Reportedly, this incident took place on the Igatpuri Goti road in Maharashtra. The same video was posted on Twitter by a user named Mohit Sharma. He claimed that this took place on the Unnao Highway in Uttar Pradesh and tagged the official Twitter handle of the UP Police. Responding to this, the UP police Fact Check clarified that it was not from UP but from Maharashtra. Unnao Police have also given a clarification regarding the same and stressed that one should not post such misleading information without verification.

In the viral video, the city name of Aurangabad is seen written on a signboard adjacent to the highway. We can also see the words written in the Devanagari script on the same board. Hindi and Marathi, which is the official language of the Maharashtra state, are written in Devanagari script.
