Fact: This video is on the internet since 2016 and has nothing to do with the ‘Lucknow girl’ who beat a cab driver. It shows Anuradha Choudhary, a woman from Rajasthan who has a criminal history of crimes like kidnapping, extortion. The Lucknow police registered an FIR against the girl under IPC sections 394 (voluntarily causing hurt in committing robbery) and 427 (mischief causing damage to the amount of Rs 50). There are no news reports as of now which confirm that the ‘Lucknow girl’ is arrested. Hence, the claim made in the post is FALSE.
When reverse image search is done on the screenshots of the video, a YouTube video with the same visuals was found. The YouTube video was uploaded on 30 March 2017 with the title ‘Anuradha Choudhary LADY Don Anand Pal Case.’ It can be seen that the first 15 seconds of the YouTube video had been clipped and added to the post. A video report by News24 on 18 June 2016 had similar visuals saying that this woman named Anuradha was sentenced to 2 years in jail by Didwana court in Nagaur district, Rajasthan.
Anuradha Choudhary has a criminal history of crimes like kidnapping, extortion. She was a close associate of gangster Anand Pal from Rajasthan, who died in a police encounter in June 2017. A special Delhi Police team arrested her on 31 July 2021 and she is currently in 14-day police remand.
