The purported statement of Arvind Kejriwal, backing Dheeraj Sahu, states, “Dheeraj Sahu is being framed by false allegations, I am an educated man, I have read the Constitution of India, it is not written on any page that one cannot keep cash at home.” (when translated to English from Hindi). Fact: The statement is falsely attributed to Arvind Kejriwal by a parody ‘X’ account with the name AAP Gujarat. Lately, Arvind Kejriwal did not make any statement in support of Jharkhand Congress MP Deeraj Sahu. In the bio section of the parody ‘X’ handle, it is clearly stated that they are not affiliated to any political party. Hence, the claim made in the post is False.
When we searched to check whether Arvind Kejriwal had recently made any statement backing Jharkhand Congress MP Deeraj Sahu, we could not find any such statement on the official social media handles of Arvind Kejriwal. No news agency published articles reporting Arvind Kejriwal making such a statement in support of Deeraj Sahu.
