The video actually shows a road caved in MP, not the Bundelkhand Expressway (UP)

A video is being shared widely on social media with a claim that it shows the visuals of the Bundelkhand Expressway which was inaugurated by PM Modi in Uttar Pradesh recently. A caved in road is visible in the video. Let’s fact-check the claim made in the post.

Claim: Visuals of the Bundelkhand Expressway which caved in recently due to heavy rains.

Fact: The posted video is not related to the Bundelkhand Expressway (UP). It shows a road caved in Madhya Pradesh. However, it is true that a part of the Bundelkhand Expressway caved in after recent rains. Hence the claim made in the post is MISLEADING.

When the screenshots of the video were run through Google Reverse Image Search, many similar videos were found in the search results. A similar video was posted by ‘The Times of India’ with the following description – “Madhya Pradesh: Newly-constructed bridge between Bhopal and Hoshangabad damaged in the first rain”. Many other news agencies have also reported about this incident from Madhya Pradesh. Some of those news articles can be seen here, here, and here.

However, it is true that a part of the Bundelkhand Expressway (UP) was caved in after recent rains. Some of the visuals actually related to the Bundelkhand Expressway can be seen here and here.

To sum it up, the posted video shows a road caved in Madhya Pradesh, not the Bundelkhand Expressway (UP).
