A video claiming that the central government is going to deposit 15,000 rupees in every account is being shared on social media. Let’s verify the claim made in the post.

Claim: The Government of India is going to deposit 15 thousand rupees in every account

Fact: Though the video claims that the central government is going to deposit 15 thousand rupees in every account, it does not give any credible information regarding the same. In fact, the video largely talks about the existing schemes in different states. Hence, the claim made in the post is Misleading.

The video mentions that women in the age group of 15 to 35 years are going to receive 4,000 rupees in their accounts and later says that the central government is going to put restrictions on three things in the next two days. However, the video does not give any credible information regarding the same. In fact, it talks about existing schemes.

The video goes on to mention that the ration card holders in Maharashtra are going to get a ration kit that includes 6 items this year instead of four. It also mentions that labour card holders can avail 3500 rupees from the government for purchasing bicycles. We could not find any authentic sources mentioning such a scheme. Later, the video mentions that gas cylinders can be availed at 450 rupees in Madhya Pradesh (here and here). Finally, the video claims that the central government is going to increase the Kisan Samman Nidhi yojana fund from 6000 Rupees to 8000 Rupees. However, we found no such announcement made by the central government from the latest press release as on date.

To sum up, the central government did not make an announcement of depositing 15,000 rupees in every account.
