Claim: A poster branding PM Modi as a nation robber has been put up in New York.
Fact: This poster is almost a year old and was put up in Hyderabad before the BJP National Executive Meeting in July 2022. Hence, the claim made in the post is False.
A reverse image search of the viral photo on Google led us to several news reports that featured the same viral photo. Reportedly, a banner criticising PM Modi was displayed in July 2022 before the Bharatiya Janata Party’s national executive meeting in Hyderabad.
The Quint reported, “On 3 July, a billboard mimicking Money Heist came up at LB Nagar – where the BJP has strong presence in local bodies and where the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) had held an infamous march in 2020 – stating, “We only rob bank.
