Edited Videos Shared as visuals of PM Modi Watching Bageshwar Dham Sarkar and Aniruddhacharya’s speeches

Another video is being shared on social media claiming it shows visuals of Prime Minister Narendra Modi watching a scene from a film on Television. Let’s verify the claim made in the post.

On reverse image search of the screenshots of the video, a video with similar visuals was found tweeted by ‘ANI’ on 22 July 2019, with the description: ‘#WATCH Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi watched the live telecast of #Chandrayaan2 launch by ISRO, at 2:43 pm today. (Earlier visuals)”. In the video, Modi was seen clapping after the successful launch of Chandrayaan-2. This video was edited to make it look like PM Modi was watching a film on TV.

Update (03 July 2023):

Another video is being shared on social media claiming it shows visuals of Prime Minister Narendra Modi watching a speech of Aniruddhacharya on television. In the video, Aniruddhacharya outlines his top three priorities for national development if he would become the Prime Minister of the Country. These key priorities encompass establishing “One Nation One Education,” enhancing medical infrastructure, and implementing the interlinking of rivers.

However, the video shared in the post is an edited one. The original video shows PM Modi along with Home Minister Amit Shah and other government officials reviewing the situation in relation to the recent Balasore train accident.

Another video is also being shared on social media claiming it is the visuals of Prime Minister Narendra Modi attentively listening to Bageshwar Dham Sarkar’s Ram Katha on television. Let’s verify the claim made in the post.

However, the video shared in the post is an edited one. The original video shared in the post shows Narendra Modi along with Amit Shah and other government officials reviewing the situation in relation to the recent Balasore train accident. On reverse image search of the screenshots of the video, a video with similar visuals was found in a tweet by ‘ANI’ with the description, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi chairs a high-level meeting to review the situation in relation to the #BalasoreTrainAccident.” Sharing the same photo, several news websites published articles recently. Claim: Video of Narendra Modi listening to a story of Bageshwar Dham Sarkar on television.

Fact: The video shared in the post is an edited one. The original video shows Narendra Modi watching the live telecast of the Chandrayaan-2 by ISRO in July 2019. Hence, the claim made in the post is False.

On reverse image search of the screenshots of the video, a video with similar visuals was found tweeted by ‘ANI’ on 22 July 2019, with the description: ‘#WATCH Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi watched the live telecast of #Chandrayaan2 launch by ISRO, at 2:43 pm today. (Earlier visuals)”. In the video, it can be seen that Modi was clapping after the successful launch of Chandrayaan-2.

On comparing the visuals of the video tweeted by ‘ANI’ with that of the video shared in the post, it is confirmed that the Chandrayaan-2 launch visuals on television in the original video have been edited to show the visuals of Bageshwar Dham Sarkar.

To sum it up, an edited video of Narendra Modi watching the launch of Chandrayan-2 was shared as him watching the speech of Bageshwar Dham Sarkar.
