Fact: Arvind Kejriwal did not make any such statement announcing his resignation as Delhi CM in support of the wrestlers’ protest. The statement was tweeted by a parody Twitter handle of the Aam Aadmi Party Rajasthan. Hence, the claim made in the post is False.
When we searched to check whether Arvind Kejriwal had made any such statement announcing his resignation in support of the wrestlers’ protest, we could not find any news report confirming this information on the internet.
Arvind Kejriwal made many tweets and visited Jantar Mantar extending his support to the wrestlers’ protest and highlighting the government turning a blind eye in providing justice to the protesting wrestlers. A few of those tweets can be seen here and here. But Arvind Kejriwal did not publish any tweets o made posts on any of his social media handles announcing his resignation as Delhi CM in support of the wrestlers’ protest.
When we searched for further sources, we found a similar statement as mentioned in the post in a tweet made by a parody Twitter handle of the Aam Aadmi Party Rajasthan. In the bio section of the Twitter handle, it is clearly mentioned as a parody account of AAP Rajasthan.
To sum it up, referring to a statement published by a parody Twitter account of AAP, the post falsely claims that Arvind Kejriwal announced his resignation as Delhi CM in support of the wrestlers’ protest.
