Fact: The second person in the list of the first five Indian education ministers is Dr. K.L. Shrimali. He does not belong to the Muslim Community. Hence the claim made in the post is MISLEADING.

When we searched for the details mentioned in the post, the list of India’s education ministers can be found on the website related to the Education Ministry. In the list, it can be seen that India’s first five education ministers (persons, not term-wise) are Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, Dr. K.L. Shrimali, Humayun Kabir, M.C. Chagla, and Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed. The exact details regarding their tenure can be read on the website. The information regarding those ministers can be also found in the ‘Council of Ministers 1947-2015’ document. The second person on the list, Dr. K.L. Shrimali, does not belong to the Muslim Community.
