A social media post accompanying an image of a document that mentions certain bizarre conditions under which Pakistan’s former PM Imran Khan was arrested is being widely shared. The agreement which has been printed on the letterhead of PTI, stipulates that Khan will not be stripped naked, nor will he be raped as he is a piles patient, and he will not be tortured which any penetrating items like rods, bamboo, etc. Through this article let’s fact-check the authenticity of the document shared in the post.

Fact: The viral document is a fabricated one and no such arrest agreement has been signed. Pakistan’s Geo News confirmed the same. Further, there is a mismatch between the signatures of the concerned officials in the viral letter and the signatures on their respective official documents. Hence the claim made in the post is FALSE.
It appears that the document was issued jointly by former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, United States Ambassador to Pakistan Donald Blome, and Interior Secretary Yousaf Naseem Khokhar. However, a relevant keyword search on Google led us to a tweet by Geo News, which clarified the document as fake.
The tweet further added that “Yousuf Naseem Khokhar, the interior secretary, had retired on March 7, while the viral letter is dated May 8.” Taking a cue from this, a relevant search yielded news reports that confirm Yousaf Naseem Khokhar’s retirement on 07 March 2023. Further, there is a mismatch between the spelling/signature of the interior secretary, Yousaf Naseem Khokhar in the viral document and that of the official document, available on the website of the Pakistani Federal Investigation Agency.
All these ascertain the fact that the viral document highlighting some bizarre conditions is not real but fabricated.
