Fact: The video shared in the post is from the ‘Train To Apocalypse’, a zombie-themed event that took place in Indonesia. The Jakarta Light Rail Transit (LRT) and Pandora Box organised this zombie-themed event in Indonesia as part of promoting public transportation. Hence, the claim made in the post is False.
On reverse image search of the screenshots of the video, we came across many social media posts sharing similar videos affirming that it portrays a zombie-themed event known as ‘Train To Apocalypse’.
When we searched for further sources using relevant keywords, we found similar videos on the Pandora Box Instagram page depicting passengers encountering zombies at railway stations and inside metro trains. On comparing the visuals from the video with that of the video shared in the post, it is confirmed that the video is from the ‘Train To Apocalypse’ event in Indonesia.
The ‘Train To Apocalypse’ is a zombie-themed event organised by the Jakarta Light Rail Transit (LRT) and the Pandora Box company in Jakarta, Indonesia. The actors dressed in zombie attires attack the passengers and security guards at the railway station as part of this paid event. Inspired by the 2016 Korean movie, ‘Train to Busan’, the Jakarta Light Rail Transit (LRT) started this event to promote public transportation in Jakarta.
