Fact: The post shared information from an old news report on the UAE dispatching eight C-17 Globemaster heavy transport aircraft to Israel as part of the defence contracts signed between the two nations. Lately, UAE condemned Israel’s ground operations in the Palestinian Gaza Strip and reportedly called for the conflict to be de-escalated. Hence, the claim made in the post is False.
When we searched to check whether the UAE had sent any military aircraft to Israel during its ongoing conflict with Palestine, we could not find any news report confirming any such recent military assistance by the UAE to Israel. A few news sites recently published articles reporting that UAE and Saudi Arabia are planning to continue their diplomatic ties with Israel, despite surging opposition in the Arab and Muslim world to Israel’s military action in the Gaza Strip.

The photo shared in the post was taken during Israel President Isaac Herzog’s visit to UAE in January 2022. Several news sites published the photo with the description, “President Isaac Herzog is received by the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, in Abu Dhabi on Sunday, Jan. 30, 2022.”
