A video is circulating on social media (here, here, and here) claiming to show a real incident where a huge swing hits a girl’s head. Surprisingly, the girl gets up unharmed after the collision. The video is being shared as if it depicts a real incident. Let’s verify the truth behind the video in this article.

Claim: The video shows a real incident where a huge swing hits a girl’s head, but she gets up unharmed. 

Fact: The video does not depict a real incident and was created using Artificial Intelligence (AI). It was posted by the TikTok handle nostalgic2k2k, which regularly shares such mishap videos. Additionally, the AI detection tool Hive AI confirmed a 90.7% likelihood that the video is AI-generated. Hence, the claim made in the post is FALSE.

Upon reviewing the viral video, we noticed notable inconsistencies. At the beginning of the clip, the girl’s hair is loose, but after the collision, it appears tied in a bun. Such anomalies are commonly found in AI-generated or deepfake videos (here, here), suggesting that the footage may have been created using artificial intelligence.

We then conducted a reverse image search of keyframes from the viral video, which led us to the same video uploaded on the TikTok handle nostalgic2k2k, where the creator indicated that the visuals were generated using Artificial Intelligence.

We found that the TikTok handle nostalgic2k2k regularly posts AI-generated mishap videos.

To further verify whether the viral video is AI-generated, we analysed it using the Hive AI content detection tool. The tool flagged the video with an aggregate score of 90.7%, indicating that it is likely fake.

To sum up, this viral video showing a huge swing hitting a girl’s head, after which she gets up unharmed, is AI-generated.
