Claim: Video of People swimming in the floodwaters of Hyderabad (India).
Fact: This incident took place in Karachi city of Pakistan. Videos with the same visuals found in social media at least since August this year. It is not related to the recent floods caused by the heavy rains in Hyderabad. Hence, the claim made in the post is FALSE.
On reverse image search of screenshots in the video, videos with similar visuals were found posted in social media during August this year. They can be seen here and here. Through these videos, we can conclude that the video shared in the post is old and not related to the recent Hyderabad floods in India. While sharing this video, some users claimed it as an incident from Karachi (Pakistan).
In the video, we could see the auto-rickshaw vehicles in the background. These vehicles are similar to the auto rickshaw vehicles manufactured by Pakistan based ‘Sazgar Engineering Works Limited’ company.
Sharing the same video, a user mentioned it as an incident from Tarikh road in Karachi. In a video showing the Tarikh road in Karachi, we found visuals of the same buildings at the beginning of the video shared in the post.
To sum it up, this video of people enjoying while swimming in the floodwaters is from Pakistan, not from Hyderabad (India).
