The incident occurred in Delhi back in 2022. We found news reports (here, here and here) on this incident from June 2022 through a keyword search on the internet. The child in question was tied up by her mother as a form of punishment for failing to complete her homework. The mother left her daughter alone on the roof.
Authorities and Police Action: Once the video gained significant attention on social media platforms, police promptly took action against the mother responsible for subjecting her child to such treatment. “After a video of a girl child tied up on the roof of a house surfaced on social media, all possible efforts were made by Delhi Police to ascertain her identity and circumstances. The family of the child has been identified, and appropriate action initiated“, Delhi police tweeted in 2022.
