This video of a bus being flooded with rainwater is related to Jaipur, not Delhi.

A video of a bus being flooded with rainwater is being shared widely on social media with a claim that the incident took place in Delhi and the bus belongs to DTC (Delhi Transport Corporation). Let’s fact-check the claim made in the post.

Claim: Video of a DTC bus being flooded with rainwater in Delhi.

Fact: The video is not related to a DTC bus in Delhi. The video was taken at Narayan Singh Circle in Jaipur (Rajasthan). Hence the claim made in the post is FALSE.

When the screenshots of the video were run through Google Reverse Image Search, a longer version of the same video was found to be uploaded by a YouTube channel (‘Cobrapost’). The title of the video reads – ‘Water enters the low-floor bus during the heavy rains in Jaipur | Cobrapost’. The video was also posted by ‘Patrika’ as related to an incident in Jaipur.

In the extended video, at 01 min 01 seconds, one can see that ‘Jaipur Bus’ is written on the window of the bus.

Also, the posted video was taken at Narayan Singh Circle in Jaipur (Rajasthan). The exact surroundings shown in the video can be found in the street view of Narayan Singh Circle in Jaipur. So, it can be concluded that the video was taken in Jaipur.

While the posted video is not related to Delhi, ANI has tweeted that, in another incident, ‘a private bus gets stuck under a waterlogged bridge in Delhi’s Tughlakabad area’

To sum it up, this video of a bus being flooded with rainwater is related to Jaipur, not Delhi.
