An old social media post which claims former US President Donald Trump’s daughter visited Akbaruddin Owaisi’s hospital is being recirculated again. The post accompanies a video, in which a foreigner can be heard praising the hospital and Akbaruddin Owaisi, for his social work. Through this article let’s fact-check the claim made in the post.
Claim: Visuals showing Donald Trump’s daughter visit to Owaisi hospital.
Fact: The woman seen in the viral video is not Donald Trump’s daughter but Brianna Cook, an American businesswoman. She was part of the Ivanka Trump’s delegation to the Global Entrepreneur Summit, held in Hyderabad from 28 November 2017 to 30 November 2017. She visited the Princesses Esra hospital, managed by the Owaisi brothers on 01 December 2017, whereas Ivanka Trump has left Hyderabad on 29 November 2017 itself. Hence the claim made in the post is FALSE.
The woman seen in the viral video is not former US President Donald Trump’s daughter but an American businesswoman Brianna Cook, the founder of software management company IoTeedom.
Further, Donald Trump has two daughters, Ivanka & Tiffany Trump. A comparison of the images of Ivanka and Tiffani with that of the woman in the viral video proves that she is not Trump’s daughter.
Further, there are no reports of any Trump’s daughters paying a visit to the hospital managed by the Owaisi brothers.
Search on YouTube with relevant keywords yielded the lengthier footage from which the viral clip is extracted. However, in the beginning of the lengthier video, the woman can be heard introducing herself as ‘Brain Cook from United States, with the delegation of Mrs. Ivanka Trump.’
The video was uploaded on YouTube on 01 December 2017 and the title of the video reads ‘Ivanka trump friend visited Asra hospital || Hyderabad 2017. Correspondent:Rayees Azam Repoter:Yonus’
Further, ‘Sharp Indians TV News & Entertainment’ correspondent also confirmed to AFP that Brianna Cook visited the hospital on 01 December 2017.
Other Hyderabad local media outlets have also reported Brain Cook’s meeting with Akbaruddin Owaisi on 30 November 2017. And images from Cook’s visit to the hospital can be viewed here.
Back in November 2017, Ivanka Trump attended the Global Entrepreneur Summit, held in Hyderabad from 28 November 2017 to 30 November 2017. However, as per the news reports, Ivanka Trump left Hyderabad on 29 November 2017 itself (here & here). All these establish that it is not Trump’s daughter but an American businesswoman who visited the hospital managed by Owaisis.
