In the context of her recent song ‘Har Har Shambhu’, a screenshot of a tweet in the name of the singer Abhilipsa Panda is being widely shared through a social media post. The tweet says, “A Muslim girl is killing my rights. I have written and sung ‘Har Har Shambhu’. She is taking all the credit; Media is with her too. Need you all”. Let’s verify the claim made in the post.
Claim: Singer Abhilipsa Panda’s tweet accusing a Muslim singer of taking all the credit regrading ‘Har Har Shambhu’ song.
Fact: The tweet is made from a fake twitter account. The only official accounts of Abhilipsa Panda are @Abhi_30_Lipsa and @Abhilipsaoff. Moreover, in an interview with ABP news, she said that she was feeling happy because people of all religions and ages are loving this song. Hence the claim made in the post is FALSE.
First, we searched for the Twitter handle mentioned in the post, we found the tweet was real and was posted on 04 August 2022.
However, this twitter account has no verified badge. So, we couldn’t conclude if it’s her official handle. Further, we searched for interviews of Abhilipsa Panda regarding this issue and found her interview with ABP news. In this interview, when asked about how she felt when Farmani Naaz sang the same song, Abhilipsa replied, “I feel happy that the people of all religions and ages are loving this song a lot”. Taking the cue from this, we searched for other twitter handles with her name and found an account where the description says that this is her official account and other accounts are fake.
As this account is also not verified, we couldn’t confirm it as her official account. We further searched for her interviews and found a clarification by her spokesperson Lakhvir singh on Aaj tak. Regarding the tweet controversy, he said that two Twitter accounts named ‘@Abhi_30_Lipsa’ and ‘@Abhilipsaoff’ are real and rest all are fake. Of these, efforts are on to get ‘@Abhi_30_Lipsa’ verified. Abhilipsa Panda had tweeted through this account stating that she has no problem with the singer and asked the other fan page accounts not to tweet false news.
Hence, the tweet of Abhilipsa Panda accusing Muslim singer for taking credit of ‘Har Har Shambhu’ song is made from a fake account.
