Fact: The Railway Recruitment Board of the Indian Railways did not issue any such recruitment notification announcing such vacancies in Assistant Loco Pilot and technician roles. The purported notification states that the advertisement was published on 13 October 2024, thus providing further evidence that the viral notification is indeed a fake one. Hence, the claim made in the post is False.
When we searched to check whether the Railway Recruitment Board of the Indian Railways had published any such recruitment notification recently on their website, we could not find any such notification on the recruitment page of the Indian Railways website.
On observing the notification carefully, one could see a statement declaring that the advertisement was published in Employment News Edition on 13 October 2024, a year ahead in the future. Several educational institutes have addressed the viral notification circulating on social media, labelling it as fraudulent. We have contacted PIB Fact-Check seeking clarification on the viral RRB recruitment notification circulating on social media. We will update the article once we get a response from the PIB Fact-Check team. Earlier, PIB issued clarifications regarding similar fake recruitment notifications and appointment letters circulated in the name of RRB.
After reaching out to PIB, PIB though a tweet clarified that this advertisement about vacancies in Indian Railways is fake.
To sum it up, this purported recruitment notification of the Railway Recruitment Board announcing vacancies for loco pilot and technician roles is fake.
