This poster about an upcoming BSP government’s ad in Lucknow Metro is not true

In the wake of upcoming elections in UP, a photo through a post is being widely shared on social media claiming it to be the upcoming BSP government’s poster in Lucknow Metro. Let us fact-check the claim made in the post.

Claim: Photo of upcoming BSP government’s poster in Lucknow Metro.

Fact: The BSP’s poster in the photo has been made from a billboard template available on the internet. BSP office and Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) MD Shri Kumar Keshav, confirmed to Aaj Tak that there is no such poster in Lucknow Metro. Hence, the claim made in the post is FALSE.

When reverse image search is done on the photo, similar photos are found on the Behance website (here and here). However, the billboards do not mention the Bahujan Samaj Party. There are many such billboards with images of different brands on the website (here and here). Behance is a platform owned by Adobe to display creative work from across the world.

Another website had this ‘curved subway billboard’ as template that could be edited to include any image of one’s choice.

We could not find any information online whether any such billboards of Bahujan Samaj Party’s advertisements were displayed in Lucknow Metro. When a similar claim about BSP’s poster in Lucknow metro was viral earlier, Aaj Tak contacted the BSP office and Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) MD Shri Kumar Keshav, who denied the existence of such a poster in Lucknow Metro.

To sum it up, this poster about an upcoming BSP government ad in Lucknow Metro is not true.
