A post with three videos is being shared on social media with a claim that these show Hindus getting united after the murder of Kishan Bharwad and evacuating the Muslims from the village. Kishan Bharwad was killed in Dhandhuka by a group of men over a social media post. The accused in the murder case are Muslims. Let’s fact-check the claim made in the post.
Claim: Videos show Hindus reacting to the murder of Kishan Bharwad and evacuating the Muslims from the village.
Fact: Two of the three videos in the post are not related to the Kishan Bharwad murder incident. They are related to the Pirana village dargah incident. The third video shows people in Palitana protesting the murder of Kishan Bharwad. No evacuation or attack on Muslims happened during or after the protest rally shown in the Palitana video. SDM Palitana has confirmed the same to FACTLY. However, the protest rallies in some other places, like Rajkot, have turned violent. Hence the claim made in the post is FALSE.

When we searched for the video on the internet, many similar videos with the same gate and structure in the background were found in the search results. People from various organisations in Palitana have conducted a rally to protest the murder of Kishan Bharwad and gave a representation to the SDM – Palitana (Prant Officer). When FACTLY spoke to SDM – Palitana, he confirmed that no evacuation or attack on Muslims, as claimed in the post, happened during or after the protest rally in Palitana. Also, no such incident was reported in Palitana by any news agency. However, the protest rallies in some other places, like Rajkot, have turned violent. To sum it up, unrelated videos and protest rally visuals are being falsely shared as Hindus evacuating the Muslims after Kishan Bharwad’s murder.
UPDATE (FEBRUARY 07, 2021):
Another video related to the Pirana village dargah incident is being falsely shared as related to Kishan Bharwad’s murder. The man in the video is Nasir Sheik. In the video, he was alleging a Muslim exodus in Pirana village following the attack of 200-300 RSS men. However, later in another video, Nasir Sheik clarified that the earlier video he shared is actually of Muslim protesters of Pirana village marching towards the Collectorate in order to complain about the construction of the wall. He further clarified that the video does not show any Muslim exodus in Pirana as he claimed earlier.
