Fact: The photo shared in the post is a digitally created image. This image was created using a meme generator website. It is nowhere reported that Sambit Patra’s daughter eloped with a Muslim boy. Hence the claim made in the post is FALSE.
On observing the template carefully, we could see that the ‘ABP’ news logo was placed towards the center right side of the screen. But the original broadcast of the ‘ABP’ news bulletin always shows the ‘ABP’ logo on the top right corner of the screen.
Also, we could observe a logo on the top right corner which was blurred using asterisk symbols. The breaking news template and the logo are similar to that of the ‘Break Your Own News’ meme generator website. Using the ‘Break Your Own News’ meme generator website, one can create his or her own meme news template.
On reverse image search, we found a similar photo of Sambit Patra published in several news articles and video thumbnails. They can be seen here and here. But we could find any news report confirming that Sambit Patra’s daughter had eloped with a Muslim boy.
