Fact: The posted visuals are old. While the photo is related to a ‘tractor tochan’ competition, the video is being shared on the internet at least since August 2019. So, the visuals are not related to rehearsals by the protesting farmers for the Republic Day tractor parade. Hence the claim made in the post is FALSE.
When the posted photo was run through Google Reverse Image Search, the same photo was found in a video uploaded on Facebook in July 2020.
Also, the same photo was found as a thumbnail of a video uploaded in March 2019. In the video, the drivers in the same dress with the same tractors can be seen competing against each other. The title of the video reads – “ford 3600 vs arjun 605 ||tractor tochan”. The details regarding the ‘tractor tochan’ competition can be read here. So, the posted photo is old and not related to the 2021 Republic day tractor parade.
The same video was found in an article published by ‘India.com’ in August 2019. While the exact details of the video were not found, it can be concluded that it is not related to the 2021 Republic day tractor parade as the video is on the internet at least since August 2019.
