Fact: In a recent interview, Naseeruddin Shah expressed his support to the farmers protesting against the new farm laws. But, these tweets were posted from a fan page (parody) account of the Bollywood actor. Naseeruddin Shah’s wife Ratna Pathak Shah clarified to the media that he has no account on Twitter. Hence, the claim made in the post is MISLEADING.
When we searched for the official Twitter handle of Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah, we found out that Naseeruddin Shah has no official Twitter account. Naseeruddin Shah has verified accounts on Facebook and Instagram No such posts supporting the farmers’ protests were found on these social media handles of Naseeruddin Shah. On searching for the Twitter handle mentioned in the screenshots, we found that these tweets were made from a fan page (parody) account of Naseeruddin Shah that clearly states in the description that it is not affiliated with Naseeruddin Shah.
Naseeruddin Shah’s wife Ratna Pathak Shah recently gave a clarification to the media that his husband does not have an account on Twitter. Ratna Pathak Shah said that they have been quite annoyed with the fake Twitter profiles of Naseeruddin Shah, operating since July 2019.
