A video (here, here, here, here and here) is going viral on social media showing a bridge collapsing, allegedly from India. Some posts even claim it’s from Bihar. Let’s investigate the truth behind this footage.

Claim: The viral video shows a bridge collapsing in India.
Fact: The video does not show a real incident. It was created using Artificial Intelligence (AI), as confirmed by AI-detection tools. Hence the claim is FALSE.
A closer look at the viral video revealed several inconsistencies. In certain sections, the movement of people and vehicles appears unnatural, and in some instances, individuals seem to merge into one another. Such visual glitches are commonly seen in content generated using Artificial Intelligence (AI) (here and here). These indicators strongly suggest that the viral video is likely AI-generated.

To verify the details, we did a reverse image search of keyframes from the viral video. It led us to the same video shared by multiple users on Facebook (here, here and here), where the descriptions mention that the video was created using Artificial Intelligence (AI).

To determine whether the video was AI-generated, we analysed it using the AI detection tool Hive, which showed that the video is 99.9% likely to be AI-generated.

Additionally, a keyword search showed that several bridges have indeed collapsed in Bihar recently. However, none of them match the visuals seen in the viral video. Moreover, the viral video has been confirmed to be AI-generated.
To sum up, the viral bridge collapse video claimed to be from Bihar is AI-generated.
