Claim: This video shows a mall in China.
Fact: The visuals show the ‘Mohegan Inspire Entertainment Resort’ in Incheon, South Korea. Hence, the claim made in the post is False.
To check the veracity of the viral claim, we split the video into a few keyframes using the Invid tool and performed a reverse image search. This search led us to a post on Welele.es that contained the same video. This post described the location as Mohegan Inspire Entertainment Resort, South Korea.
To verify this, we then performed a secondary search with the relevant keywords leading us to the website and YouTube channel of the said Mohegan Inspire Entertainment Resort, which contained visuals that matched the viral video. The spot seen in the viral video is a place within this resort known as Aurora Entertainment Street, which, according to the Inspire Entertainment resort’s website, is “adorned with a 150m LED display that blankets the lofty ceilings and walls, showcasing captivating images.”
Many users on YouTube and Google Photos have posted videos of Aurora Entertainment Street, which you can see here and here. These videos contain visuals similar to those seen in the viral video. All of this evidence corroborates that the viral video does not show a mall located in China. On the contrary, it shows a spot in the Mohegan Inspire Entertainment Resort, which is located in South Korea.
To sum up, this video shows the Inspire resort located in South Korea, not a mall in China.
