A video is being widely shared on social media with a claim that the man in the video has attempted suicide due to joblessness and hunger. But, FACTLY has found that he attempted suicide due to issues with his wife. The incident happened on 15 May 2020 in Jeedimetla (Hyderabad). According to media reports, the Police have said that the man’s wife had left him and went to her sister’s house as he was harassing her. When he went to ask her to return home, she refused and asked for a divorce. So, he set himself on fire. The locals doused the fire and took him to the hospital.
