A piece of news is being shared widely on social with a claim that UPSC has cancelled the examinations due to COVID-19 outbreak. FACTLY has found that UPSC has not cancelled any examination. It issued a press release on 15 April 2020 clarifying the status of various examinations conducted by it. There was no mention of cancelling any examination in the press release. Also, as the news went viral, the Press Information Bureau has clarified that the news is false and any rescheduling, if necessary, will be notified on the UPSC website.
