A video clip is viral on social media platforms featuring a man allegedly named Baba Javed Hussain from Haridwar. It is claimed that he is making hateful comments about Hindus. In this fact-checking article, we will investigate the authenticity of these claims.

Fact: The Uttarakhand police revealed that the man in the video is not Baba Javed Hussain but is actually a Hindu man named Dilip Bhagel. He was allegedly paid by an unknown individual to make these derogatory statements. Therefore, the claim made in the post is False.
To investigate the validity of the viral video, we initiated a keyword search on the internet. These efforts led us to a tweet by the Uttarakhand Police, who had posted about the issue at hand. In their post, they stated that they had taken note of the viral video, conducted an investigation, and found out that the man in the video was actually given intoxicants by someone and was made to use abusive language about the Hindu community.
The Uttarakhand Police stated that legal action was initiated against both the man in the video and the individual who made him utter these derogatory statements. Additionally, the police tweeted a video of the same man who confessed to being named Dilip Bhagel.
Swatantra Kumar Singh, the SP of Haridwar city, confirmed the police’s investigation results, stating that the man in the video was arrested. He explained that the man, Dilip, is not a Muslim but a Hindu. He was given money by an unknown person, allegedly a YouTuber, and was persuaded to make the incendiary statements.
