A video of a man speaking in support of Citizenship (Amendment), Act 2019 is being widely shared on social media. It is being claimed that the man in the video is Ex-Prince of Hyderabad. Let’s try to analyze the claims made in the post.

The archived version of the post can be found here.

Claim: Video of Ex-Prince of Hyderabad speaking in support of Citizenship (Amendment), Act 2019.

Fact: The man in the video isn’t Ex-Prince of Hyderabad. He is Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Acharya Dharmendra. So, the claim is FALSE.

In the video, the man says, ‘The Prime Minister and the Home Minister have kept on saying that it is only for the infiltrators. The people who are protesting against it, do they wish to give Indian citizenship to all the terrorists coming in from Pakistan so that they could comfortably cause the violence in the country..’.

In the post, the video has the logo – ‘Youth Media TV’. When searched on Youtube, the video was found in its YouTube channel and it had the title ‘आईआईटी कानपुर में आज लगे नारे,क्या देश का माहौल ख़राब किया जा रहा है? IIT-Kanpur Faiz poem News today’. (Translation – Slogans made today at IIT Kanpur. Is the situation in the country being made worse? IIT-Kanpur Faiz poem News today’)

When the screenshots of the video are subjected to the reverse image search technique, a tweet with the same video was found. The user published the video with a different message and in the comments section, the same user commented saying that the man seen in the video is ‘Acharya Dharmendra’. When searched on Google about him, he was found to be a Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader. When the facial features of the man in the video are compared with that of VHP leader Acharya Dharmendra, they match. So, the man in the video is a VHP leader, not Ex-Prince of Hyderabad. More information about him can be found here, here and here.

When searched about the son of the last Nizam of Hyderabad, it was found that Nawab Fazal Jah Bahadur, the son of Hyderabad’s seventh and last Nizam Mir Osman Ali Khan, has died in 2018. In ‘The News Minute’ article, it can be read that Nawab Fazal Jah Bahadur was the last surviving son of the seventh Nizam.

To summarize, the man in the video isn’t Ex-Prince of Hyderabad, he is VHP leader Acharya Dharmendra.
