A Facebook post displaying the multiple job vacancies on the website -‘www.grks.org‘, is being widely shared on social media claiming that the ‘Gramin Rojgar Kalyan Sansthan’ is a government organisation. Let’s verify the claim made in the post.
Claim: Job vacancies on the website of a government organisation named ‘Gramin Rojgar Kalyan Sansthan’
Fact: ‘Gramin Rojgar Kalyan Sansthan’ is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) from Bihar registered in 2017. This organisation has been continuously posting thousands of job vacancies for various positions across the country since 2017. Several users filed complaints against this website/ organisation for collecting money from applicants and cheating them without conducting any exams. The Ministry of Rural Development informed the applicants that all Central and State Government websites are on the “gov.in” domain, and not on “.com” or any other spammy websites. Hence the claim made in the post is FALSE.
First, we searched the details of this organisation on ngodarpan.gov.in and found that ‘Gramin Rojgar Kalyan Sansthan’ is a Non- Governmental Organization (NGO) from Bihar registered in 2017.
We then searched ‘National Career Service‘, ‘Employment news‘, and other credible media websites regarding this recruitment but couldn’t find any details. Through further investigation, we found that this organization has been continuously posting thousands of job vacancies for various positions across the country since 2017. The details can be seen here and here. Several users who applied for jobs on this website complained that they lost money and called it a ‘fraudulent website’ extorting money from unemployed youth as no examination is conducted. Though the government has not released any statement against this website as of now, the Ministry of Rural Development, in a press release on 16 June 2022, clarified that ‘Gramin Udhyamita Sansthan’, which is claiming to be authorised by the Govt. of India is indeed a fake Organization and informed users that all Central and State Government websites are on the “gov.in” domain, and not on “.com” or any other spam/concocted/spoof websites. Additionally, we found that the job notifications released by these kinds of websites usually do not contain details of the exam/job location.
To sum it up, Gramin Rojgar Kalyan Sansthan (grks.org) is a fraudulent website and has no relation with the government.
