A video purportedly of a Congress rally in Rajasthan is being shared on social media with a claim that a Pakistani flag was waved in the rally. Let’s fact-check this claim through this article.

Claim: This video shows a Pakistani flag being waved in a Congress rally held in Rajasthan in 2023 during the Assembly elections.

Fact: The flag seen in the video is not the national flag of Pakistan. This is a video from 2018. When the same video went viral back then with a similar claim, Rajasthan Police dismissed the claim as false. Hence, the claim made in the viral post is False.

To learn more about the viral video, we performed a keyword search on the internet to check if any such incident was reported from Rajasthan recently. This search did not yield any credible evidence. Further, upon a closer inspection of the green flag seen in the viral video, we found that it is quite different from the Pakistani National flag (here and here).

You can see the difference between the both in the following collage.

A further search on the internet led us to a 2018 tweet by the Rajasthan Police who shared the same video in which they clarified that it is being falsely claimed that the video shows a Pakistani Flag waved in a victory procession of Congress. This makes it clear that an old video has been resurfaced now with the same false claim.

To sum up, this video does not show a Pakistani flag being waved at a Congress party rally in Rajasthan.
