The animal in the video is ‘Alligator Snapping Turtle’. It doesn’t cry like humans

A post with a video of an animal wailing like humans is being shared on Facebook with a claim that the animal’s name is ‘Bijju’ and it is found in graveyards feeding on human corpses. Let’s try to analyze the authenticity of the claim made in the post.

Claim: ‘Kabar Bijju’ animal crying like humans video.

Fact: The animal in the video is ‘Alligator Snapping Turtle’. It doesn’t cry like humans. The posted video was edited by adding the sound of ‘humans crying’ using a sound effect. So, the claim made in the post is FALSE.  

Although the animal in the video looks like a ‘Turtle’, if you listen properly to the person in the video, it can be understood that the person is referring to it as an ‘Alligator’. Based on this information, when searched on Google with the image of the animal in the video, it was found out that the animal in the video is called ‘Alligator Snapping Turtle’.

It was nowhere found that the ‘Alligator Snapping Turtle’ wails like humans. Also, in a video related to wildlife, a person held ‘Alligator Snapping Turtle’ but it didn’t make any sounds like ‘humans crying’ as in the posted video. In the posted video, ‘Tik Tok – @mdanford1105’ can be seen below it. By using this information, when searched on TikTok, the same video was found. In the description below the video, ‘Scream, Man – Authentic Sound Effects’ was written. It can be seen here that by using ‘Scream, Man – Authentic Sound Effects’, a sound effect, many users have created videos on TikTok. 

To summarize, the animal in the posted video is ‘Alligator Snapping Turtle’. It doesn’t cry like humans and the posted video was edited using a sound effect.
