A post is being shared on social media with a claim that MGM Healthcare hospital had charged more than three crore rupees for the treatment of late singer S.P. Balasubrahmanyam. In the post, it alleges that MGM hospital authority released the mortal remains of SPB only after the balance amount of 1.85 crores was paid by the Vice President Venkaiah Naidu’s daughter. Claim: MGM Healthcare hospital refused to release the mortal remains of S.P. Balasubrahmanyam till the balance amount of 1.85 crores was not cleared. Vice President Venkaiah Naidu’s daughter cleared the bill and got the body released.

Fact: S.P. Charan, son of the late singer S.P. Balasubrahmanyam refuted all these allegations. In his press meet along with MGM hospital doctors, he clarified that there was no truth in the rumours about Vice President Venkaiah Naidu intervening to clear SPB’s hospital bills. Hence the claim made in the post is FALSE.

While we searched for relevant information related to these allegations, a clarification video was found in the official Facebook page of S.P. Charan, son of the late singer S.P. Balasubrahmanyam. In the video, he refuted all the allegations on MGM Healthcare hospital regarding his father’s treatment bill.

Sharing this video, ‘ETV’ news channel reported that S.P. Balu’s son S.P. Charan clarified on these baseless rumours over S.P. Balu medical bills.

In a press meet along with MGM Healthcare hospital doctors, S.P. Charan reiterated that the allegations of MGM hospital are false. He said in the press meet that MGM hospital authorities refused to accept any pending amount from them. He also refuted the rumours of Vice President Venkaiah Naidu daughter’s intervention in the matter.

To sum it up, allegations on MGM hospital regarding the S.P. Balasubrahmanyam hospital treatment bills are false.
