Fact: Rahul Gandhi stated that “Not more than 50 percent reservation is given under existing provisions. The Congress government or I.N.D.I.A government will remove the 50 percent cap on the reservations” if they are voted to power while addressing a rally in Ranchi, Jharkhand during Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra. Hence, the claim made in the post is FALSE.

On performing a relevant keyword search regarding the claim, we found that Rahul Gandhi delivered a speech about reservations while addressing a rally in Ranchi, Jharkhand during his Manipur to Maharashtra Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra.

While Rahul Gandhi was talking about the nationwide caste census, he stated that “Not more than 50 percent reservation is given under existing provisions. The Congress government or I.N.D.I.A government will remove the 50 percent cap on the reservations” if they are voted to power after the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
