Claim: Raghuram Rajan had warned Rahul Gandhi and P Chidambaram about Nirav Modi, but they forced him to remain silent and kept approving loan till May 2014

Fact: Raghuram Rajan clearly denied such claims while mentioning Social media has a habit of attributing complete rubbish to him. Hence the claim is FALSE

The post claiming Raghuram Rajan had warned Rahul Gandhi and P Chidambaram about Nirav Modi, but they forced him to remain silent and kept approving loan till May 2014 first appeared in social in March 2018 and was debunked by Boom Live then. In the wake of upcoming general election 2019, this post is again doing rounds in social media and a simple google search will result in fact checked articles on this claim. You can also notice Raghuram Rajan denying such claims in an interview quoting “Social media has a habit of attributing complete rubbish to me,”

Hence, the claim made in the post stands to be FALSE.
