Fact: The video shows the football fans who gathered at the Lusail metro station during the FIFA World Cup match at the Lusail Stadium in Qatar. The video was circulating on social media since December 2022. The video is old and has nothing to do with Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan. Hence, the claim made in the post is FALSE.
On reverse image search of the screenshots in the video, we could not find any reliable details related to the video. One of the Twitter users when tweeted this video stating it as the visuals of fans gathered for the Pathaan film screening in UAE, many users responded to this tweet saying that the video is from Lusial Metro station and was shot during the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar. Also, one could spot a few fans wearing Argentina football jerseys in the video.
While searching for other reliable sources of this video using relevant keywords on the internet, we found the same video published on a TikTok page on 18 December 2022. Using the hashtags ‘#lusailmetrostation’, ‘#fifaworldcup2022’, this TikTok user published the video with the description, “metro not this way.. you are not welcoming”.
