Fact: The video shared in the post show visuals from the 2018 Ram Navami festival in Ranchi, Jharkhand. The video shared in the post is old and has nothing to do with the recent Hindu New Year celebrations in Uttar Pradesh. Hence, the claim made in the post is FALSE.
On reverse image search of the screenshots in the video, an extended and clear version of the same video was found published on a YouTube channel in April 2019. This YouTube channel described it as the visuals of Ram Navami festival celebrations in Ranchi, Jharkhand. But videos with similar visuals were found posted on Facebook with a similar description since March 2018. A few of them can be seen here and here. These users mentioned that this incident had taken place at Firayalal Chowk in Ranchi city.
On observing the extended version video carefully, one could see the word Ranchi written in Hindi (रांची) on one of the billboards. Also, when we compare the building and temples located at Albert Ekka Chowk or Firayalal Chowk in Ranchi with the visuals seen in the video, it can be confirmed that the video was shot at Albert Ekka Chowk in Ranchi.
When ‘Vishwas News’ had contacted the Ranchi ‘Dainik Jagran’ Chief Reporter for more clarification regarding this video, ‘Dainik Jagran’ Chief Reporter confirmed that the video was shot in 2018 during the Shobha Yatra taken out on Navratri festival in Ranchi.
