A video is being shared widely on social media with the claim that people of Italy are saying goodbye to the world by standing outside a masjid in Milan as they couldn’t control the spread of COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2 virus) in their country. ‘FACTLY’ has found that the video is at least five months old and is not related to any recent incident. The video is found to exist on the internet at least since 26 November 2019. The first COVID-19 case in the world was reported in China in December 2019. So, an old video is being shared in the context of COVID-19 outbreak. Also, the people in the video are singing ‘Bella ciao‘ (Italian protest folk song).
