A message with a website link is being shared widely on social media with a claim that workers who worked between 1990 and 2020 have a right to receive a benefit of 1,20,000 rupees from the Ministry of Labour and Employment. But, FACTLY has found that the message is fake. There is no such benefit available and the website link given in the post is a dubious one. Also, ‘.za’ is the domain used in South Africa, not India. The Press Information Bureau (PIB) has also clarified that no such announcement has been made by the Government of India. It termed the message as ‘fake news’.
