Claim: A Muslim league MLA in Kerala fixed Pakistan flag on the bonnet of his car.

Fact: The flag fixed on the green coloured car in the post is the Party flag of Indian Union Muslim League ( IUML), not the Pakistan National flag. IUML is an Indian political party based in Kerala. Hence the claim made in the post is FALSE.

On reverse image search, no information about this car was found on any website. On carefully observing the flag on the car, it is found that the flag is not the Pakistan National flag. The photo of the Pakistan National flag can be seen here. When we searched for political party flags similar to the flag on the car, it is found out that the flag on the car is of the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML). IUML’s flag is similar to the Pakistan National flag. IUML is an Indian political party recognized by the Election Commission of India as a state party in Kerala. Further details about the IUML party can be seen here. The party also has an official handle on Facebook.

In a complaint filed by Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) to the Election Commission on ’05 April 2019’, IUML informed the ECI that their party flag is wrongly portrayed as the Pakistan National Flag to incite hatred against their party.

Earlier, when IUML flag in a Karnataka rally was falsely portrayed as the Pakistan National flag, FACTLY published a fact-check article. It can be read here.

To sum it up, Indian Union Muslim League party flag is falsely portrayed as the Pakistan National flag.
