The archived version of the post can be found here.

Claim: Image of Amit Shah touching the feet of Swami Nithyananda.

Fact: In the image, the man seen touching the feet of Swami Nithyananda is Jagdishwar Goburdhun, the High Commissioner of Mauritius in India. So, the claim is FALSE.

When the image is subjected to Google reverse image search technique, many search results were obtained. Among them, the search result of ‘Nithyananda.org’ had the same photo in its gallery dated July 9, 2017. That photo is one among the set of photos that show Nithyananda with the High Commissioner of Mauritius in India – Jagdishwar Goburdhun. So, in the image, the man seen touching the feet of Swami Nithyananda isn’t Amit Shah.

The same photo can also be seen in another article, and the information in the article corroborates that the man seen along with Swami Nithyananda is Jagdishwar Goburdhun (High Commissioner of Mauritius in India).

To conclude, in the image, the man seen touching the feet of Swami Nithyananda is not Amit Shah.
